GALAXY is a group insurance contract the purpose of which is to cover the Insured on the occasion and during his trip.
The main exclusions from the contract :
Costs incurred without the prior agreement of the Assistance Service, the voluntary participation of an Insured in riots or strikes, brawls or assault, the consequences of the use of unordered medicines, drugs, narcotics and similar products medically, and the abuse of alcohol, Any intentional act by the Insured that may result in the coverage of the contract.
The contract also contains certain restrictions :
The contract must be taken out on the day of booking the trip or, at the latest, the day before the 1st day of application of the cancellation fee schedule.
The Insured must be domiciled in one of the member countries of the European Union, in the United Kingdom, in Switzerland, Norway, Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Gibraltar, in the French overseas departments and territories and in the COM.
The guarantees apply throughout the world, with the exception of countries in a state of civil or foreign war, of notorious political instability, or undergoing popular movements, riots, acts of terrorism, reprisals, restriction of the free movement of people and goods (whatever the reason, in particular health, safety, weather, etc.) or disintegration of the atomic nucleus or any irradiation from an energy source presenting a radioactivity character.
The Insured is required to pay the contribution. The Insured is required to answer exactly the questions asked by the Insurer, in particular in the declaration form allowing him to assess the risks assumed.
- Under insurance guarantees, the Insured must declare his claim within 5 working days from the moment he becomes aware of the claim.
- For assistance services, the Insured must contact the assistance platform and obtain their prior consent before taking any initiative or incurring any expense.
In all cases, the Insured is required to provide the Insurer with all supporting documents and documents necessary for the implementation of the insurance guarantees and assistance services provided for in the contract.
The contribution is payable upon subscription of the contract, by any means of payment accepted by the travel agency.
The “Trip Cancellation” and “Travel Information” guarantees take effect on the day on which this contract is taken out. All other guarantees take effect on the day of departure for the trip (place of convocation of the organizer to go).
In accordance with article L112-10 of the Insurance Code, the Insured who takes out an insurance contract for non-professional purposes, if he can prove a previous guarantee for one of the risks covered by this new contract, may waive this new contract, without costs or penalties, as long as it has not been fully executed or the Insured has not called in any guarantee, and within the limit of a period of fourteen calendar days from of the conclusion of the new contract.
The "Trip Cancellation" and "Travel Information" guarantees expire on the day of departure for the trip (place of convocation of the organizer for the outward journey).
All other guarantees expire on the last day of the trip (place of group dispersal), with a maximum duration of 90 consecutive days.
Termination of the contract is not permitted.
